Rehabilitation Training - do you have (or had) an injury or illness?

Do you currently have or previously had an injury and/or illness and now looking to start or get back into exercising - are you looking for rehabilitation training?

If you are looking for a personal trainer who can take your injury into account and take you through a series of appropriate and safe exercises, then BodyFlexion is the best training option for you.

BodyFlexion Personal Training work with your treating physio, chiro or osteo.  After consultation with your treating practitioner, BodyFlexion will identify exercises for you that will continue to strengthen the injured area and will ensure correct technique

Rehabilitation Training - Are You Currently Receiving Treatment?

If you are currently receiving treatment, the additional training sessions will complement this and aid in your recovery.  Note that a Rehab Trainer does not replace treatment from a physio, chiro or osteo and if you have received an injury it is important that you seek immediate treatment.

BodyFlexion is an accredited 'Rehab Trainer' and we have the knowledge, skills and experience, specialising in back, shoulder and knee rehabilitation.

Rehabilitation  Training - Neutral Spine, Technique & Tight Muscles.

It is possible to get injured if;

- If you don't keep your back in its correct position (called 'neutral spine') when lifting, pushing, pulling, rotating etc
- If you don't use correct technique when lifting, pushing, pulling, rotating etc
- If your muscles don't remain in perfect length, tone and/or strength.

Rehabilitation Training

Do You Know?

- How to achieve and stay in neutral spine?

- What the correct technique is for moving including lifting, pushing, pulling and rotating?

- How to strengthen weak muscles?

- How to stretch tight muscles?

Do You Know (Part 2!)

- Poor posture makes it challenging to achieve neutral spine (think sitting at a computer leaning forward with shoulders rolled forward).
- Weak glute (butt) muscles can lead to your knee rolling inwards when you walk, squat, run etc leading to knee pain.

- Weak lower back muscles and/or tight chest muscles can lead to shoulder problems.

Why is Injury Prevention & Rehabilitation Training important for you?

In order for you to prevent injuries or to aid in recovery from an injury it is important that the below takes place;

  - A Risk assessment be conducted,

  - The way you move (lift, push, pull, rotate) be evaluated

  - Any tight muscles be loosened

  - Any inhibited muscles be activated

  - Effective and appropriate training be conducted.
