“Every Body Needs A Jo In Its Life”
After years of living with chronic shoulder and back pain caused by innumerable hours spent at a desk hunched over a keyboard, and countless visits to physios and masseurs, I realised something different needed to happen. I needed to start exercising properly: that running on a treadmill was simply not enough, that rocking up to a gym and going through the motions wouldn’t do what needed doing.
And then I found Jo.
Through a combination of weight training, pilates and yoga, Jo has helped me turn my fitness and strength around to a level that I would have thought myself incapable of two years earlier. And being pain free.
But Jo is not just a personal trainer – she’s a teacher, too. She teaches you that exercise is a mental mindset, not just physically doing. With her precise approach to training, just by correcting the placement or angle of a limb, she changes the entire dynamic of the exercise. She teaches you that exercising is not just about the number of repetitions or the amount of weight you lift – that technique matters. She makes you think about how to move your body even when you’re not at a training session.
I leave every single session exhausted but exhilarated. I can’t wait to get back to training.
